Orange Simple Syrup
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Orange Glaze Icing
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1–2 tablespoon orange juice
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 10-inch bundt pan and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, add butter, sugar, eggs, yogurt, orange juice, milk and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine. Add in sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda and zest from 2 oranges. Mix just until combined.
3. Pour batter into prepared bundt pan.
4. Bake in preheated oven 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. When the cake is done baking, allow the cake to cool 1 hour inside the pan. Then, place a large plate/serving dish on top of the Bundt pan and invert the cake out onto the plate.
6. Make the orange simple syrup. In a small saucepan, add orange juice, water and sugar. Cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Brush the syrup over top of the cake. You can save any extra syrup for when you serve the cake.
7. Make the icing. Whisk together the confectioners sugar and orange juice. Drizzle the icing over top of the Bundt cake. Serve and enjoy!
