Description

These soft and chewy Snickerdoodle Cookies can be made in 30 minutes from start to finish. No dough chill time required. Homemade vanilla cookie dough is generously rolled in a delicious cinnamon sugar mixture before baking. Each bite is filled with all the classic flavors of Snickerdoodle cookies that you love.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350F.

2. In a large bowl, or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the egg and vanilla until combined. Add in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and mix just until combined.

3. Make the topping. In a small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Scoop cookie dough by 1.5 tablespoon measurements. Place cookie dough ball into cinnamon sugar mixture. Roll dough ball to evenly coat. Place onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet, 3 inches apart.

4. Bake cookies for 10 minutes. Allow to completely cool on cookie sheet. Enjoy!
