Description
These Big Mac Smash Tacos feature crispy, browned beef on a soft homemade flour tortilla. The tacos are topped with a homemade Big Mac sauce, crunch romaine lettuce, melty American cheese and bread and butter pickles. The ground beef is smashed directly onto the tortilla, then cooked in a hot pan until crispy. The tortilla is then flipped to cook for another couple minutes to melt the cheese and lightly toast the tortilla. These are easy to make, and hard to resist!

Homemade Tortillas
1. In a large bowl, add flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk to combine.
2. Add hot water and melted butter into flour mixture. Use wooden spoon to combine, then knead with hands. The dough should feel like playdough. You may need a tablespoon or two more water if the dough is still a touch dry.
3. Knead the dough by hand for 3 minutes, then divide into 8 roughly equal pieces (for 8-inch tortillas). Roll into a smooth ball, then cover and allow to rest for 20 minutes.
4. Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Lay the tortilla in the pan and cook until you see a few bubbles puff up and form on the surface Turn with tongs and cook again until lightly browned. Each tortilla takes roughly 60 seconds or less to cook.
