Description

This orange soda uses freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest to create a delicious bubbly at home version of orange soda. It is simple to make and only takes a few minutes on the stove top to cook. Once you make the homemade version, you will never want to buy store bought again!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Zest of 6 oranges
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice (juice from approximately 5-6 oranges)
  • Club Soda

Instructions

1. In a medium size saucepan, add sugar and zest of oranges. Rub the sugar and zest together until the sugar turns an orange color. This helps to release the orange flavor. Add the orange juice and place pan on stovetop over medium heat.

2. Cook, stirring frequently until sugar has dissolved. Remove from stove and allow to cool before using.

3. To serve, add ice to your cup and pour desired amount of orange syrup into glass. Top with club soda.
